E aí!
This week was interesting. We had an investigator who was being interviewed for baptism but didn't pass because apparently he has some lingering legal issues we didn't know about :p Oh well life goes on!
But anyway, yesterday we had transfers! Aaand one of my companions (Elder Kenneth from São Paulo) from my last area followed me to my new area... to be my companion... again. Hahaha we've never heard of this happening before in the mission. But our president said that felt clearly that we needed to be put here together so there ya have it!
We are pretty excited to get back to work again together! I feel as though things are really coming together in the area. The members are trusting the missionaries more (that was a bit of a prob when we got here), our investigators are progressing, and I'm with working with someone who I already know and trust. SÓ FALTA AGUA!
Something that I learned in a really powerful way this week is that God really looks out for you. He really knows your feelings, circumstances, and is always with you. Furthermore, he knows exactly what you need to progress closer to an eternal inheritance of happiness. The atonement of Jesus Christ can heal anything, literally anything. Satan likes to get us to think that there is no escape from the pains of this world. He's a gosh-darn-freaking liar. If we bear our trials with patience, with a hope in Christ. He will give us everything we need, not everything we want, but always the healing that we need to keep going. And then one day, we will receive everything we want and infinitely more. I love my Savior. I may not always honor the gift he gave me, but I know He lives and has the power to redeem us from our fallen state, if we let Him. I know that as long as we have a heart that pumps blood to our brain, we will have the power to choose eternal life.
Love,
Elder George
