I'm loving Cristalina. The past two weeks have been political "alvoroço" (not sure what English word to use), but not in the sense about the impeachment of Dilma and stuff like that, but rather, the craziest local mayor election ever. Yesterday was the voting. I'm so glad it's over... In brazil there is something called "carros de som" (cars of sound) which when basically put gigantic subwoofers on the roof of your car and play audio commercials in the streets. Let's just put it this way, I don't think I'll ever be able to get the political campaign music out of my head.
Fred and Marcela from Lago Sul are in Europe sightseeing and said they're doing great.
My new comp is awesome. He's "trunky" lol. (pics below- "His motivation" & "my motivation" - guess which one is whose ;)...) He has about 4 months in the mish.
The branch is fun hahaha. The people are awesome. They're all recent converts, but they are true converts and I feel like I was more sent here to be taught by them than to teach them you know?
The food is "caseira" (don't know the translation). The other day I ate liver with sardine rice... I manned it out. I've been in really great health (I hope this lasts). It's been a really long time since I've gotten sick. I've been exercising a lot as well. I don't feel like I'm getting stronger or anything because your body tires from the missionary work and the lifting that is done seems like it's all super light. But I'm doing it! And feeling really good health wise!
I feel great also about my organization and cleaning skills. Plot twist, I know. The only thing is that I hope it translates well when I get back because the technique and supplies are all so different here! (Well everything is so different here..) I remember the first time I ate dinner at an American diplomat's house. I felt super uncomfortable...
Anyway, time does not favor me so I'll be off. Ask me questions about life here! I'll answer em the best I can!!
Love you more than you know!
