YO!!
Happy Thanksgiving! I spent my Thanksgiving hitting metal gates with my pen and asking the following questions, 1. Do you work on sundays? 2. Are you legally married? 3. Are you firmly involved in any religious organizations? It was great! Two days later, Elder Johnston said to me, hey, the other day was Thanksgiving. But to be honest, here in Brazil every lunch is as big as Thanksgiving dinner and the food is 10 times better. Seriously though, I plan on never making my future family suffer the wrath of bland turkey and mashed potatoes. Instead, they will eat carne asada, mandioca, and of course, rice and beans.
The week as told by Elder Johnston:
This week was great! Joao Paulo and Anderson were baptized, they are part of a once less active family that has returned to church, also there were two other baptisms yesterday from the neighboring city, one man who has been investigating the church for over 4 months! Also this week we helped cut down some banana trees at a members house before lunch - it was great!
Anyway, things are swimming. English is getting harder and harder. Lots of love from down south!
