Howdy!
I hope everybody back home is happier that a bird with a french fry. I know I am :) Things are going pretty great down here in Jardim Ingá. I'm learning more than ever before in my life.
Did you know that the glory of God is intelligence (D&C 96:36)? Or as further described, light and truth? Say whaaa? Truth is defined as a knowledge of things as they really are (93:24). Eternal life is simply attaining, grace by grace, a fullness of this knowledge! Discovering things as they really are and subsequently receiving a fullness of joy. Hmmm... One can only deduce... EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! (even if it doesn't seem like it)
Newton said it right when he said, "knowledge is power." God designed every aspect of reality for the eternal happiness of man. Understanding this is the most powerful knowledge that can be attained. (D&C 131:5-6 - look in the chapter heading too)
Update: I'm falling in love with Brazilian Churrasco and Acaí. It's finally starting to rain. We got a new elder in the area from Riberão Preto in the area. Now there are two companionships instead of one trio. I am with Elder Johnston from Utah.
Tchau!
P.S. Keep sending me emails! I'm loving hearing from y'all! I especially like receiving pictures!
